50 cups of coffee every morning.
I see what you did there.
:) It certainly sucks but it has its benefits, too. I have so much time to do things. I don’t know if I would ever be able to endure a very long-term long-distance relationship, however; these things take work and sex and upkeep that you can’t accomplish over Skype.
We’ve known each other for over a year but haven’t always been together…lol it used to be a bit more complicated than it is now.
Tiga does a stirring rendition of that song, called, “Track City Bitch.”
He did move back to the States but he’s coming back at the end of the summer. :)
When he left neither of us was keen on labeling it a long distance relationship because he wasn’t sure if he was ever coming back to Toronto. So for the past two months, yes, I have been ‘single,’ but our feelings for each other have never changed. There was a very formulaic and insincere agreement made that we could (and should) see other people if we had to. I suppose I kind of made this clear to protect myself from censure in case I ‘slipped up.’
But of course, being the type of one-man woman I am, I just love him and want no one else. He is exactly on the same page as me, I don’t feel very lonely or sad, we talk every day, and I am not at all concerned about how long it takes for us to be together. He’s always with me anyway. :)
HEY :) Well I get invites to this sort of thing all the time but they are very timely in that, for example, a friend of mine will send me a fb invite a few hours before a show, saying “come to this NAO!”). The Friday Night at the Museum parties at the ROM are really good. So are the 1st Thursday parties at the AGO (http://www.ago.net/1stThursdays). I’m going to the OCAD gradEx on May 2, too….that’s open to the public. Well hell! Everything is technically open to the public but Art People with a capital ‘A’ are really good at dressing up in furs and drinking Hendricks and making it seem like a gallery opening is private. I’m going to forward you invites on fb to everything that comes my way. Also it would just be amazing to see you in the first place. :)
P.S. If you get a student membership to the AGO (not sure if you have one or not) you get a ton of information sent to you on a regular basis about arts & culture happening in the city, plus free private viewings of the all the major exhibitions before they open to the public. It’s $40. Changed my life.
P.P.S. #Hashtag Gallery (www.hashtaggallery.com) is a really chill and unpretentious gallery owned by my friend Graeme and it’s at 801 Dundas (near Bathurst). Events & debauchery there all the time, life drawing classes, group art shows and contests….
P.P.S. I’m going to plug my own museum family and suggest that you swing by the Canadian Textile Museum (http://www.textilemuseum.ca/apps/index.cfm?page=whatsOn.home&language=eng) if you’re interested in fashion and textiles. We have regular events and lectures workshops.
I met Tiga after his set and we touched and I made a joke and he laughed and his shirt was very soft and he is much tinier than I expected!
EPIC RUN-ON FOR AN EPIC, JOYOUS NIGHT.
So far away
Doesn’t anybody stay in one place anymore
It would be so fine to see your face at my door
Doesn’t help to know you’re just time away
Long ago I reached for you and there you stood
Holding you again could only do me good
Oh, how I wish I could
But you’re so far away
One more song about moving along the highway
Can’t say much of anything that’s new
If I could only work this life out my way
I’d rather spend it being close to you
because it means I have to clean up the smut and selfies.
FUck.
(Winnipeg, Brisbaine, Charlotte) are sending you their music and cat GIFs at the same time….
Is worth the sleep deprivation.
:3
By any stretch of the imagination.
SUCH IS LIFE.
It only gave you ideas.
From now on you’re coming in through the bathroom window.
